Labor Day Weekend, Lovelies!

I know this holiday is supposed to signal a farewell to summer but instead of crying in my Scrimshaw about how the sun is setting on joy in all its forms, I prefer a more jubilant Back-To-School approach. For me, Labor Day weekend is a reminder to step up my game; A checkpoint at which to evaluate my priorities and re-commit myself to the ambitions that I spilled in the pool that one time in Vegas when I was slurring about jumping spiders with that hot Australian guy and by the time I realized what happened they had been sucked up in the filter.

The following is a sampling of my Back-To-School goals:
  1. Explore someplace new.
  2. Call someone I haven't talked to in 6 months or more.
  3. Floss.
  4. Learn something tricky.
Teeny little challenges for mind, body and soul. I'm pretty jazzed about them, actually, apart from the flossing bit. It's annoying and uncomfortable and I never ever do it but as an actor who hasn't had dental benefits for 2 years I should probably be more diligent so my teeth don't rot out of my head.

To hold myself accountable to these resolutions, I'll be writing about my progress in future posts. Until then, cheers to new beginnings, you crazy monkeys! What are YOUR Back-To- School goals?
